Robinson Brothers is moving its Lincoln dealership from Interline Avenue to consolidate it with its Ford dealership at Airline Highway and South Sherwood Forest Boulevard.
The move, which will be complete Sept. 12, is part of a major renovation of the Ford dealership that will bring “sales, service, parts and body work for our Ford and Lincoln customers all at one convenient location,” General Manager Chris Savage said.
Savage said combining the two locations won’t result in the downsizing of either, noting that the 10-acre facility, plus the reconfiguration, can accommodate both dealerships.
Savage said Robinson Brothers will sell or lease the Interline property when the Lincoln dealership moves.
Savage wouldn’t say exactly how much Robinson Brothers is spending on the renovation, but said it was a “couple million dollars.”
He said it will include a complete remodel of the sales and service departments at the Ford dealership and the construction of a quick-service facility, so that customers getting an oil change and other light maintenance work can get in and out faster.
