A $1 million renovation of the Baton Rouge Whole Foods Market is set to begin Monday.

Specific details of what will be done at the grocery store at 7529 Corporate Blvd. were not disclosed. But Kristina Bradford, a spokeswoman for the grocery store chain, said the work will take an estimated 12 weeks.

“The store has been a part of the Baton Rouge community for nearly 10 years,” Bradford said. “We’re excited to refresh many customers’ favorite venues and expand options to better serve them.”

One change that won’t happen: because of local laws, Bradford said the Baton Rouge Whole Foods won’t have a bar inside the grocery store, like the Whole Foods that recently opened in Lafayette.
