The Baton Rouge Area Chamber is gathering information about work spaces that are available for short- and long-term lease in order to help businesses that have been displaced by the devastating flooding in South Louisiana.

BRAC is still gathering information about the flood impact on area businesses, so it isn’t known yet how much demand there is for space. But Ansley Zehnder, a spokeswoman for BRAC, said about 400,000 square feet of office space is available, spread across 65 different locations. For individual businesses that have an immediate need for temporary space, there are also some work spaces that are available free of charge or for the price of utility costs.

BRAC also wants to get a list of available warehouse space, Zehnder said. For more information, contact Logan Anderson at logan@brac.org.
