Lafayette-based home health company LHC Group Inc. announced Monday it has formed a joint venture involving two Alabama hospitals to serve seven counties in the southeastern part of the state.
The three-party venture’s other members are Troy Regional Medical Center, a 97-bed hospital, and Southeast Alabama Medical Center, based in Dothan. Southeast Alabama Medical Center is a not-for-profit with 420 beds.
The partnership is LHC’s latest venture with hospitals. The new agreement will help the Alabama hospitals’ patients receive home nursing after leaving the facilities.
