Baton Rouge Health Care Center has received a 2010 Louisiana Nursing Home Capstone Quality Award for improving the quality of health care to its patients. The award was presented by eQHealth Solutions, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Louisiana. Thirty-two nursing homes in the state received awards.
The Louisiana State Bar Association, in conjunction with the Louisiana Supreme Court, presented Pro Bono Awards to attorney and other public interest legal professionals in the state who provided exceptional pro bono services to Louisiana’s indigent. The local recipients are Friend of Pro Bono Award to Patrick S. Ottinger, Lafayette; Pro Bono Publico Awards to Jeannine Alford Sullivan, Denham Springs; Doreen A. Taravella, Baton Rouge; Huval, Veazey, Felder & Renegar LLC, L. Bianca Chretien, Gregory A. Koury, Lindsay L. Meador, Will Montz, and Laborde & Neuner, all of Lafayette; Career Public Interest Award to Ayn W. Stehr, Baton Rouge; Law Student Pro Bono Award to Lilian R. Hangartner, LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and Cleveland M. Patterson III, Southern University Law Center.
The Baton Rouge Area Chamber has won a Silver Telly award for its online video capturing the “Creative Capital of the South.” The video was produced by Launch Media.
