NAI/Latter & Blum Inc. has acquired commercial real estate firm NAI Lake Charles, a move that will expand its southwest Louisiana operations and match up with residential operations it recently established in Lake Charles.
Details of the merger were not disclosed. The company will do business as NAI/Latter & Blum Inc. in southwest Louisiana.
This is Latter & Blum’s second move into Lake Charles in recent months. In August, the company acquired ERA Moffett Realty Inc., making it the first independently owned New Orleans-based residential real estate firm to enter the market.
“Our merger uniquely positions NAI/Latter & Blum as the only privately held commercial brokerage with a regional network extending from central to southwest Louisiana and across the entire Louisiana Gulf Coast,” said Bob Merrick, chairman and CEO of Latter & Blum. “This important development allows our agents to serve the commercial needs of our clients more effectively in the wake of an unprecedented industrial expansion underway in Louisiana.”
Rick Haase, president of Latter & Blum, said the acquisition of NAI will give agents in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette more residential and commercial referral opportunities. Latter & Blum has under its umbrella prominent residential real estate agencies such as C.J. Brown Realtors in Baton Rouge and Van Eaton & Romero Realtors in Lafayette.
“Latter & Blum has expanded its service network from Texas to Mississippi along our state’s energy corridor,” Haase said.
Latter & Blum, which was founded in 1916, is a top 40 real estate brokerage and home services company with sales of more than $2.92 billion.
