Kean Miller is extending its reach by opening a Houston office, the Baton Rouge-based law firm's first outside Louisiana.

The new office will serve Texas-based businesses, especially those with Louisiana operations, and national clients with business in both states. Joining Kean Miller as partners in Houston from the law firm Ogden Broocks & Hall LLPare are trial lawyers Bill Ogden, Linda Broocks, Jim Hall and Judith Meyer and special counsel Gary Alfred.

"Our new office provides a new foundation from which to serve those clients, and provide cost-effective representation to our Louisiana and national clients who have challenges, and opportunities, in Texas," said Blane Clark, managing partner of the 150-attorney firm.

Kean Miller now has offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lake Charles and Houston.
