David K. Thompson has been named market president in Baton Rouge for Red River Bank.
Thompson was with IberiaBank, serving as senior vice president and commercial group manager since 2008. Thompson has over 25 years of banking experience in the Baton Rouge area, and began his banking career at City National Bank.
“The bank shares the same vision and ideas for growth that I have for the greater Baton Rouge area,” Thompson said. “I’m also impressed with the commitment Red River Bank has shown to the area, adding branches on Essen and the new construction at Perkins and Acadian.”
“David is a strong banker with deep roots in the Baton Rouge community …. We look forward to his strong leadership and guidance in the community and with our growing Louisiana bank,” said Blake Chatelain, president and CEO of Alexandria-based Red River Bank.
Red River Bank is the seventh-largest community bank headquartered in Louisiana, with over $1.4 billion in assets, 20 banking centers and 27 ATMs. The bank serves six parishes, spanning from Shreveport to Baton Rouge.
