Alon USA Energy Inc. said a reformer unit at the company’s Krotz Springs refinery has resumed production after being shut-down for unplanned repairs since late April.

The company said the repairs could result in higher operating expenses at the refiner, minus any expected insurance proceeds, of about 40 cents per barrel for the second quarter.

The company also expects to incur a one-time cost that will reduce the the refinery’s operating margin per barrel for the second quarter by about $2.50 per barrel.
