The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center has named Melanie J. Rice as sales manager responsible for developing and servicing clients in the West Coast and technology markets.

She was national convention center sales manager in Memphis, Tennessee.

Samuel Birks has been named move manager of both New Orleans franchises of Two Men and A Truck.

Birks worked for Ameri Fleet in Orlando, Florida, as a field customer service rep.

Ernst & Young LLP has promoted Krystal Calix, Lory Cenac, Lauren Menier and Walker Saik from manager to senior manager and Neil B. Harris, Erik Billet, Jim McMillan, Leah Wood and Lucy Wardlaw from senior to manager.

Wood is in the firm’s advisory performance improvement customer practice and the others are in the assurance practice.

Charles D’Agostino was elected to a third term on the board of directors of the Association of University Research Parks, an international organization for research and science parks that is based in Tucson, Arizona.

D’Agostino is executive director of the Louisiana Business and Technology Center at LSU.

Certified public accounting firm Hannis T. Bourgeois LLP has promoted Kyle K. Cook and Jason A. Hijuelos from managers to senior managers in the audit division and Michelle Garbiras from supervisor to manager in the tax division of its Baton Rouge office.

Cook specializes in attest and consulting services in the construction, non-public and benefit plan areas.
