A 1.12-acre parcel of land on Burbank Drive near Bluebonnet Boulevard has been sold for $823,480 to a Morgan City developer who plans to build a Chabill’s Tire & Auto Service on the site.

Charles L. Gowland Sr. Family LLC bought the land in a deal that was completed Tuesday, said Mark Hebert of Kurz & Hebert Commercial Real Estate. Hebert brokered the deal and represented Gowland. The seller was Pearson Burbank LLC.

The land is near the Wal-Mart Supercenter that recently opened at Bluebonnet and Burbank, between the Goodwill store and the RaceTrac convenience store now under construction. Chabill’s has 14 locations across south Louisiana, including car care centers on Coursey Boulevard and near the Interstate 10-Old Jefferson Highway exit in Prairieville. Plans are to start building the 8,000-square-foot center later this year.
