Mike Crouch, the head of TerraBase Inc., of Baton Rouge, confirmed Thursday he is working on a deal to buy the Richoux’s building downtown from attorney Danny McGlynn.
“We have some pretty exciting things planned if it goes through, and we expect it go through,” Crouch said, but would not elaborate on his plans.
Crouch said he and McGlynn have been working on the acquisition for six months.
The deal is now in the due diligence phase of the building inspection.
The acquisition should close after the inspection is completed, Crouch said.
That work, and the purchase, should be done by the end of the month if all goes according to plan.
Crouch is the president and chief executive officer of TerraBase, an environmental database management company.
