Venture Global Calcasieu Pass LLC has signed an agreement for an additional 63-acre parcel next to the site of its proposed natural gas export project, Calcasieu Pass, in Cameron Parish.
Calcasieu Pass has filed for federal permission to export liquefied natural gas. The original site covers 203.6 acres. The additional parcel gives Calcasieu Pass roughly one mile of frontage on the Calcasieu Ship Channel.
“Expanding our land footprint is an important step forward for the Calcasieu Pass Project,” said William M. Wicker, chief executive officer of Calcasieu Pass's parent company, Venture Global LNG. “Additional land will enable us to be more flexible in terms of design and project expansion.”
