A court hearing has been delayed on a public records lawsuit filed by an unsuccessful bidder for Southern University's medical marijuana business.
Lafayette-based Med Louisiana LLC had asked a state district court judge in Baton Rouge to order Southern to turn over copies of the other two finalists' applications as well as emails, text messages, phone call logs/records by and between members of the school's board of supervisors, the school and Purchasing Department employees.
Southern received the request in late October and asked for about two weeks to produce the records. The dispute resulted in Med Louisiana filing a lawsuit. The hearing has been rescheduled for Dec. 13.
