Construction has started on Siegen Professional Plaza, a 12,800-square-foot office and retail center that will be anchored by a Geico insurance office.

Mike Long is moving his office from near the Siegen-Interstate 10 intersection to a new office building on a 2.9-acre site between Rooms To Go and Burgersmith.

The insurance office will take up just over 7,000 square feet in the center, leaving retail and office space for up to three additional tenants. David Trusty, of Coldwell Banker One Commercial, is handling leasing for the space.

Long’s new office will be more than double the size of his existing location at 7089 Siegen Lane, which has 18 employees. The new office is set to open by the spring.

Cangelosi Ward is the general contractor for the center and WHLC is the architect.
