The building housing the Fernando’s Mexican restaurant at 10655 Coursey Blvd. has been sold to a pair of Lafayette investors.
Boyce Road Coursey Property LLC paid $839,350 for the 3,500-square-foot restaurant building and the nearly 0.9-acre site, according to documents filed Monday with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office. Boyce Road is made up of Robert L. and John R. Butcher of Lafayette. The seller was Lieux LLC, which had owned the property since November 2007.
Matthew Shirley, an agent with Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate who represented the buyers, said the plan is for Fernando’s to stay in place and for the new owners to take over collecting the rent. The deal was attractive because of the land that went along with the restaurant.
Jonathan Starns of Donnie Jarreau Real Estate represented Lieux.
Fernando’s has operated the Coursey location since late 2006.
