The building housing the Family Dollar store in Mid City has been sold to a group of investors from Raceland for $1.6 million.

Family Dollar has a long-term lease on the building.

According to documents filed with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s office, Central Lafourche Investments LLC bought the property at 7070 Florida Blvd. in a deal completed Thursday. The seller was KDFD LLC of Baton Rouge.

Central Lafourche Investments is made up of Ray P. Robichaux and Timothy Robichaux.

Brent Struthers, of Beau Box Commercial Real Estate, who represented both the buyer and the sellers, said the 8,320-square-foot discount store opened in October.

“It made sense for both the buyer and the seller; it was a good investment,” Struthers said.
