Ken Jacob, who has served as president and CEO of Cajun Industries for the past 18 years, announced Monday he’s stepping down as head of the Baton Rouge-based contractor.

Jacob will stay on as executive adviser to Cajun’s upper management. He has been with the company for more than 30 years. Todd Grigsby, who has served as president of Cajun Constructors Inc., will take over as CEO of Cajun Industries. Grigsby has been with the business since June 1988. Mike Moran, the former president of Cajun Deep Foundations, will become president of Cajun Industries. Moran has been with Cajun since May 1986.

Grigsby is the son of Cajun Industries founder Lane Grigsby, while Moran is his son-in-law.

Todd Grigsby and Moran both praised Jacob for the contributions he made to Cajun Industries.

“Ken’s leadership has greatly impacted the growth and success of the company and we would not be where we are today without his efforts. We are thrilled to keep Ken on as our executive adviser and will continue to frequently draw upon his expertise and knowledge of the industry,” Todd Grigsby said.

Cajun Industries is the parent company of five businesses: Cajun Constructors, Cajun Industrial Design & Construction, Cajun Deep Foundations, Cajun Maritime and Cajun Equipment Services. The companies under the Cajun umbrella provide services that include civil construction, disaster response, design build work and site work.
