The Gonzales Hampton Inn has been sold for $9.2 million to a St. Louis-based hotel operator.
Midas Hospitality purchased the 80-room hotel, located near Cabela’s, in a deal that was filed last week with the Ascension Parish Clerk of Court’s office. The seller was Shree Ganesh LLC of Port Allen. Agents from Marcus & Millichap ‘s Fort Lauderdale, Florida, office represented the buyer, while the seller was represented by agents from Marcus & Millichap’s Atlanta office. Helen Zaver of Marcus & Millichap said Midas plans to make whatever improvements are needed to keep the hotel as a Hampton Inn. “It’s a very good location and a very good brand,” she said.
The Gonzales Hampton Inn has been open since 2009.
Midas Hospitality is a hotel owner, operator and developer. The company has a portfolio of 21 hotels in six states. Midas’ other Louisiana property is the Legacy Suites in St. James, a 113-room hotel that opened in August.
