Shawn Sagrera, of Sherman Credit in Baton Rouge, has been elected president of the Louisiana Finance Association.
Other officers are Anita Fontenot, of Southwest Loan Co. in Lafayette, president-elect; Paul Landry IV, of Foti Financial Services in Donaldsonville, vice president; and Kimberly Baggett, of the Louisiana Finance Association office in Baton Rouge, secretary/treasurer/executive director.
Leigh Harrison has been named home mortgage division manager and a vice president at Florida Parishes Bank.
The bank has offices in Covington, Hammond, Amite and Ponchatoula and will be opening a mortgage loan center in Mandeville.
ExxonMobil has named Cory S. Thompson as south central cluster manager, midstream, lubricants operations. He replaces Julius Bedford, who was named southwest cluster manager and has relocated to Beaumont, Texas.
Thompson will have primary responsibility for managing the manufacturing and shipping activities of ExxonMobil’s south central cluster facilities, including the Port Allen Lubricants Plant, the Olathe Grease Plant in Kansas and the Kansas City Regional Distribution Center.
Thompson was U.S. supply manager for Americas Lubricants Operations located in Fairfax, Virginia, and served as the Port Allen Lubricants Plant operations manager from 2009 to 2011.
Vaughn Crisp has been promoted to vice president of sales at Global Data Systems in Lafayette.
He was sales director for the energy sector.
NEW ORLEANS AREA
Nancy Scott Degan, a shareholder in the New Orleans office of Baker Donelson, has been named chairwoman for the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation for a one-year term that begins at the end of the year.
She has served in various other positions for the ABA Section of Litigation, which has more than 50,000 members. Degan plans to initiate a law school outreach program and expand into 10 more cities the pro bono Project HELP, or Homeless Experience Legal Protection, which was started in New Orleans by federal Judge Jay Zainey in 2004 and is in 20 cities.
Degan serves on Baker Donelson’s board of directors and is a member of the firm’s business litigation group.
Rain CII Carbon LLC has named Mike Tillman as chief operations officer; Les Edwards as chief technology officer; and expanded the duties of Ron Garbarino as chief commercial officer.
Tillman, who has served as vice president of global raw materials, succeeds chief operations officer Steve Rowland, who will serve as an adviser as he transitions toward retirement.
Edwards was vice president of technical services. Garbarino assumes responsibility for all commercial areas with respect to CPC sales, raw materials procurement, inventory management, production control and logistics.
Rain CII, which was displaced to Kingwood, Texas, after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, is relocating to a $5.6 million corporate headquarters in Covington in the fall.
Elaine Fitzpatrick has been named an audit director of accounting firm Postlethwaite & Netterville’s New Orleans-area practice.
Fitzpatrick was a managing director at PwC, where she managed public and private clients across industries that include transportation, chemical industry, engineering and construction, higher education and nonprofit.
The AC Hotel New Orleans Bourbon, a 220-room European-inspired hotel that will open in October, has named Melisa Kennedy as general manager, Shronette Davis as assistant general manager and Blake Duke as senior sales manager.
Kennedy was general manager of the Cotton Exchange Hotel, which is now the AC Hotel New Orleans Bourbon, and was director of front office for the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel on Canal Street. Duke was director of sales and Davis was executive housekeeper, both for the Cotton Exchange Hotel.
Anthony Walker, of the University of Louisiana at Monroe School of Pharmacy, has been elected president of the Louisiana Pharmacists Association.
