Louisiana Álliance for Cuba will host a series of workshops from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on June 22 at Gallier Hall in New Orleans at 545 St. Charles Ave. for companies and executives interested in establishing trade with Cuba.
Breakout sessions will offer insights on Cuba’s infrastructure, culture and economy, as well as individual sectors like mining, agriculture and hospitality, and the legal framework for doing business on the island.
Featured speakers include Rubén Ramos Arrieta, minister counselor in the Cuban embassy’s economic and trade office; Eduardo Bencomo Zurdos, director of Canec SA and former president of the International Finance Bank of Cuba; Teo Babun, CEO and managing director of BG Consultants Inc., which provides strategic services related to Cuba; Enrique Lopez, with Gables Business Solutions Advisors; Jose Oro, an associate of BG Consultants and former director for Cuba’s Ministry of Basic Industries; and Saul Reinaldo Newsome, international attorney with Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson LLP.
