A Zachary shopping center has been sold for nearly $2.3 million to a group of investors from Natchez, Mississippi.

Vidal Davis and Geronimo Hardwood Timber LLC purchased the Lake Pointe Center at 19900 Old Scenic Highway, said Randy Herring, an agent with Mike Falgoust & Associates Commercial Real Estate. Herring represented the buyers and the seller, Victoria Investment Properties LLC of Baton Rouge.

According to records with the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office, Davis is listed as a registered agent for Geronimo Hardwood.

Lake Pointe Center is an 18,200-square-foot center that was built in the past few years on a 1.5-acre site. Tenants include Papa John’s Pizza, FAST Lane Urgent Care Clinic, Martha’s Bistro, The Jambalaya Shoppe, Studio 964 salon and Allstate Insurance.

“It’s in the heart of the new growth on the west side of Zachary,” Herring said. Because of the location, the buyers thought it was a good investment opportunity.

Lake Pointe has two 1,625-square-foot suites next to each other that are vacant. A number of potential tenants are looking at building out the spaces. “There are a lot of things that could go in there from a retail standpoint,” Herring said.
