Robert E. “Bob” Kleinpeter, managing partner at Kleinpeter & Schwartzberg LLC, has achieved the status of diplomate in the National College of Advocacy.
The designation is based on educational requirements, professional knowledge and completion of a program of the American Association for Justice.
Faculty and staff from the LSU AgCenter communications and information technology departments received awards from the International Association for Communication Excellence.
From the communications staff, Frankie Gould, communications director and professor, was awarded the 2014 ACE Professional Award recognizing overall excellence and professionalism; and Tobie Blanchard, associate specialist, a bronze award for a video news release.
From the information technology staff, a silver award for best innovative use of communication technology went to Fred Piazza, director; Sandy Fiser, associate director; Megan Smith, Web designer; Sam Razi, IT manager; and Callen Cranfield, IT analyst. Fiser and Smith also won a silver award for interactive multimedia and Web graphics.
Woman’s Hospital has received three-year re-accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.
The full accreditation by the NAPBC is based on an on-site evaluation and demonstrated compliance with 27 required standards addressing patient needs and measuring the quality of the care against national standards.
The accreditation by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer was based on an on-site evaluation and demonstrated compliance with all 34 commission standards. The hospital also earned a silver commendation rating by meeting five of eight commendation-eligible standards.
