NOLA Home Show being held in January
The NOLA Home Show will be held Jan. 16-18 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
The show will include more than 200 exhibitors for a range of projects, including home improvement, lawn and garden, home décor and beautification.
Featured speakers include TV host Ty Pennington, known for hosting ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” on Jan. 17 and HGTV’s “Curb Appeal” star John Gidding on Jan. 16-17.
The show also will include interior and architecture designs, a flower garden and butterfly house, fountains, cooking demonstrations and wine tastings.

Moran Group expands into New Orleans
The Moran Group, an advertising agency, has expanded into New Orleans with an office at 643 Magazine St., Suite 102.
With more than 30 years of experience, the Baton Rouge-based company handles regional advertising for the Hyundai and Honda groups and has clients in over 50 markets across the country.
The new office will be led by Kathryn Lemoine, vice president, digital strategy and operations.
“We’re excited about the opening of a second office in New Orleans. It’s a great environment to find top talent, continue the growth of our company and branch into new verticals,” founder and President Jim Moran said.
The Moran Group has nearly 60 full-time employees.
Private equity group acquires Express Energy
Express Energy Services, an oilfield services company with two locations in Louisiana, is being acquired by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management LLC and participating managers.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Express, founded in 2000, assists petroleum and energy industries customers with six service lines, including casing and tubular running and completion and production services, and a workforce of about 1,700 employees in more than 30 locations across the country, including Houma and Minden.
Express will continue to be headquartered in Houston.

CABL announces keynote speaker
Fox Business Network anchor Cheryl Casone will be the keynote luncheon speaker at the Council for A Better Louisiana’s 52nd annual meeting and luncheon on Dec. 11 at the L’Auberge Hotel Conference Center in Baton Rouge.
Casone is known for her weekly segment “Top Companies Hiring this Week,” which spotlights some of the major job opportunities available to workers around the country.
Before the noon luncheon, a panel of political observers will dissect the 2014 congressional races and look ahead to the 2015 elections for governor and the Legislature.
Casone will discuss ways Louisiana can meet the challenges of an expanding economy and ensure that growing businesses have access to the employees they need.
