Plans for the Pointe-Marie Planned Unit Development have been submitted to the City-Parish Planning Commission.
Pointe-Marie is a mixed-use development that would be built on a nearly 120-acre strip connecting Nicholson Drive and River Road, across from Innovation Park Drive.
The development would have 565 single-family residential units, a village center with 285 multi-family units and 275,000 square feet of retail and commercial office space and a motor coach square with 236 lots. The development would contain a mix of amenities, from a village square and film production offices, to a dog park and sports fields.
The developer for the project is Rhaoul Guillaume Jr., project manager for Gotech Consulting Engineers, a Baton Rouge company. CJS Architects of Tampa, Fla., served as the planners and architects. Renderings for the development have been posted on CJS’s website.
The planned unit development is set to go before the Planning Commission on May 19.
