Woman’s Hospital will open its new campus at the corner of Airline Highway and Pecue Lane on June 3, and the hospital has begun a countdown on seven billboards in Baton Rouge, Prairieville, Livingston and Central.

A significant amount of interior construction work must still be done on the new hospital, a five-story building with 497,000 square feet of space, according to Woman’s. The complex will also include a two-tower, medical office building with 249,650 square feet of space and 2,258 parking spaces, an increase of nearly 350 spaces.

First Source Servall, one of North America’s largest distributors of appliance parts, said Monday it has acquired the Appliance Parts Co. of Louisiana and its eight retail operations throughout the state.

APCOLA’s stores are in Alexandria, where it was founded in 1972, and Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Metairie, Monroe and Bossier City. The acquisition includes all of the inventory, real estate and business infrastructure.

First Source Servall said it will keep all of the acquired stores fully operating and plans to retain all of the approximate 50 employees.
