Eatel Business is expanding its fiber network into Denham Springs and Walker.
Initial builds already have begun, and will be more than 17 miles in mostly commercial areas when completed. The company plans to grow the network by connecting businesses to fiber upon request.
“Eatel’s strategic investment in its fiber network is a testament to the commercial and industrial growth opportunities that exist in Livingston Parish,” said David Bennett, president and CEO of the Livingston Economic Development Council.
“Our reach won’t be limited to the initial routes, and we can connect just about any business that wants fiber,” says Mike Orban, Director of Sales.
Fiber optic networks offer more bandwidth compared to copper cabling, for faster, more reliable voice, video and data services. Eatel has been aggressively deploying fiber optics in Baton Rouge, Gonzales and Lafourche Parish.
Eatel Business also operates three high-tech data centers in Louisiana. The fiber network will help deliver EATEL Business’s services include data, managed hosting, managed services, business video, cloud and business phone services.
