CSRA said it will open a second customer service center in Bossier City, one that will add 300 direct jobs in a two-year period.
The company, which provides information technology support for the federal government, said the Customer Engagement Center will create jobs with an average annual salary of $22,000, plus benefits. While the work at the center is aimed at entry-level employees, workers will be positioned to advance to the 800-job CSRA Integrated Technology Center set to open at the end of the year in Bossier City.
“When we first decided to establish roots in Bossier City several years ago, we saw it as an opportunity to influence, equip and prepare the upcoming workforce of next-generation IT professionals,” said John Dancy, CSRA’s chief information officer. “The return on investment in Bossier City has been immeasurable. Our employees there are working hard every day to solve our customers’ toughest challenges.”
CSRA plans to hire 150 employees for the engagement center within the first year.
Louisiana's economic development department began discussing the second center with CSRA in August. To secure the project, the state offered an incentive package that includes workforce training through LED's FastStart program.
