Cost Plus World Market, which sells international home furnishings and food, is building an 18,471-square-foot store in the Siegen Lane Marketplace.

Officials with U.S. Builders, a Houston company that is building the store, said it will open in late January. The store will be by the Shoe Station on the outskirts of the shopping center.

Cost Plus World Market has operated an 18,300-square-foot location on Bluebonnet Parc Avenue near the Mall of Louisiana since 2002. The Oakland, Calif.-based chain has more than 260 stores across the U.S., selling everything from casual home decor, housewares, jewelry, wine and international gourmet foods.
