Go Auto, the Baton Rouge-based discount auto insurance company that’s known for TV commercials featuring CEO Greg Tramontin, has purchased additional office space. The company paid $1.5 million for a 9,000-square-foot office condo at 533 Highlandia Drive in a deal that was filed with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s office Monday. The seller was Superior Office Investments, which is affiliated with Superior Office Products, the other tenant in the Highlandia building.

Go Auto bought an 11,000-square-foot condo in the Highlandia building in January 2015 for $1.8 million and relocated its offices from Bon Carré Business Center last year.

At the time, Go Auto had the first rights to buy the adjoining space, said Donnie Jarreau, a part owner of the Highlandia building and head of NAI/Latter & Blum — Donnie Jarreau Real Estate. Jarreau represented the seller of the building.

“Go Auto has continued to grow and they’re in a very high growth mode,” Jarreau said. “They didn’t need that additional space a year and four months ago, but they need it today.”
