The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board’s August lease sale generated $3 million in bonus payments for 21 leases covering 1,443 acres.

The leases were sold in Cameron, Catahoula, Concordia, Jackson, Lincoln and Pointe Coupee parishes.

The July lease sale brought only $9,005. The board sold two leases covering 36 acres in Evangeline and Lafourche parishes.

During the 2014-15 fiscal year, which ended June 30, the Mineral Board’s lease sales generated $14 million in revenue.
