Patrick A. “Rick” Roberts, of Avalar Realty in Mandeville, has been elected president of the Louisiana Realtors Association. Other officers are David McKey, of Coldwell Banker One in Baton Rouge, president-elect; and Matt Ritchie, of Ritchie Real Estate in Alexandria, secretary-treasurer.

Jerry Prejean has been elected chairman of the board of commissioners for the Lafayette Economic Development Authority. LEDA’s executive committee members are David Strother, vice chairman; Chad Hanks, treasurer; Tom Cox, secretary; Susannah Malbreaux, member at large; and Dr. Paula Carson, immediate past chairman. The Lafayette City-Parish Council made appointments to fill two vacancies with Edward J. Krampe III and Flo Meadows.

The LSU Law Center has named Erin Guruli as director of career services and employer relations and Susan L. de la Houssaye as counselor/national recruiting coordinator. Guruli served as a business development director for Special Counsel, a legal staffing organization in Washington, D.C. De la Houssaye was the legal recruiting coordinator for the New York office of Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher.

Donald G. Scully Jr. will lead Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.’s Louisiana general agency, Fleur de Lis Financial Inc. Jeff Ponson was named a sales manager.

Scully and Ponson were with Guardian Life Insurance Co.

Robert M. Stuart Jr. will lead Capital One Bank’s commercial middle market segment. Stuart will continue to serve as Louisiana state president.

Ralph Stephens, director at Postlethwaite and Netterville, has been appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ CFF Credential Committee, which provides educational resources, support and guidelines to CPAs who are certified in financial forensics or are seeking the CFF credential.

Jennifer Beck has been named Our Lady of the Lake College’s dean of the school of nursing. Beck was associate dean.

Kendrick Watts has been named vice president of business development for communications firm Covalent Logic. Watts was with myemm.com in Nashville, Tenn., where he managed agency business development.

Dionne E. Viator, executive vice president and chief business development officer for Baton Rouge General/General Health System, has been named secretary/treasurer of the Louisiana Health Care Quality Forum.

Bridget Montana has been named chief nursing officer for Amedisys Hospice, directing nursing services and clinical care for Amedisys’ 94 hospice care centers. Montana was chief operating officer at Hospice of the Western Reserve, a multisite hospice care organization in northeast Ohio.
