The owners of the Coursey Place Shopping Center have purchased the land under the property for $1.25 million.

Jim Walsh Jr. bought the land from Baton Rouge Realty Co. Ltd. in a deal that closed Friday. Walsh owns the Coursey Place center, which runs from 11333 Coursey to 11575.

The 40,000-square-foot strip shopping center's tenants include Merle Norman, the Salad Shop and Massage Envy. Los Reyes Mexican Grill and the former Walk-On’s/Santa Fe Cattle Co. building are also included.

Walsh said all of the space is occupied, except for the former Walk-On’s, which will be vacant in April. “We’re working on lining up a large restaurant for them,” he said.
