A downtown space is bringing in some new partners.
Nu Vieux Hospitality, which manages the Lyceum Dean space downtown, has teamed up with TradeMark Concepts to best utilize the historic space. “We are going to be the food and beverage arm for Nu Vieux,” said Andy Blouin, who heads up TradeMark with Sean Malone.
TradeMark Concepts currently owns and operates Blend Restaurant & Wine Bar, The Edible Event, and the upcoming facility The TradeMark, located at 326 Third St. which is set to open in the summer.
TradeMark Concepts brings with it executive chef Troy Deano of Blend and catering director/special events coordinator Rebecca Jacobs.
“We do parties, that’s our business,” Blouin said. “With this partnership, we have more ways to facilitate services and help out with corporate meetings or sell space for parties.”
The Lyceum space at 124 Third St. is one of three spaces TradeMark rents out for parties and corporate events. The Lyceum has room for about 500 guests. The space is already being booked, according to Blouin.
The TradeMark facility will have room for about 350 patrons. Blend currently has room for 150 patrons.
Nu Vieux Hospitality is the group that manages Hotel Indigo downtown.
The partnership isn’t the latest bit of news for Blouin. The Baton Rouge businessman and Malone attained notoriety from their original Serranos Salsa Company on Highland Road.
“I always get asked about Serranos,” Blouin said. “I won’t say it’s dead, but the market is so saturated with Mexican restaurants.”
Blouin and Malone said they will continue to transition away from Firebelly concepts and bring their businesses under one umbrella — the TradeMark brand.
