Raising Cane’s will reach the milestone of having 250 restaurants when it opens two new stores in Texas and Oklahoma Thursday.

The chicken tender chain is set to open restaurants in Lake Jackson, Texas, and Midwest City, Oklahoma, which will propel the Baton Rouge based company to 250 locations. Cane’s opened 39 restaurants in 2015, including its first international location in Kuwait and its first entries into California and Arkansas. The company now has locations in 20 states.

“We are so excited to reach this milestone and continue to fulfill our vision to grow restaurants around the world,” said Todd Graves, founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s. “It seems like just yesterday that we were working 20-hour days at the original Cane’s on Highland and I couldn’t be more appreciative of our crew, our customers and our communities.”

Raising Cane’s, which recently moved its headquarters office into the IBM building in downtown Baton Rouge, will mark its 20th anniversary in August.
