A proposed $65 million aquarium in Gulfport, Mississippi, will be marketed by Baton Rouge-based marketing and advertsing firm MESH.

The company was selected from six finalists by the Gulfport Redevelopment Commission to handle a marketing campaign to raise money for the aquairum, launch the project and, during the aquarium’s first year, work on funding to sustain it. The Mississippi Aquarium is slated to open in early 2019 in downtown Gulfport.
