Remson Haley Herpin Architects has promoted Jonathan L. Guelfo to associate, assuming leadership and managerial roles within the firm as he continues to serve as an architect and project manager.
Guelfo has been with the firm since 2002. He earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from LSU in 2004.
Rhett Davis has been named small-business advocate for Region 6 of the U.S. Small Business Administration, representing Louisiana, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas out of Baton Rouge.
Davis will be the direct link between the region’s small-business owners, state and local government agencies, state legislators, small-business associations and the Office of Advocacy of the SBA. Davis was president of Direct Mailing Services Inc. and state director of Invest Louisiana, an organization formed to advocate for lower business taxes in Louisiana. He received a bachelor's degree in journalism from LSU.
The LSU AgCenter has named Don Groth as the resident coordinator and Dustin Harrell as research coordinator of the H. Rouse Caffey Rice Research Station in Crowley.
Groth has worked at the rice station for 34 years and replaces Steve Linscombe, who retired. Groth earned his bachelor’s degree in botany from Eastern Illinois University and his master’s and doctorate degrees from Iowa State University.
Harrell, the extension rice specialist and research agronomist, obtained his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in agriculture science, his master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in soil fertility and his doctorate from LSU in soil fertility and chemistry. He has worked at the rice station since 2006.

Advertising and marketing agency Zehnder Communications has named Laura Gould as client development manager, leading the business development department.
She joined Zehnder in 2006 as account coordinator and has worked in account service management and strategy, project management and logistics. Gould earned a marketing degree from LSU and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans.
