Olson, who has 30 years of banking experience, comes from Capital One, where she was a senior vice president in commercial banking.

She replaces Robert Schneckenburger, who last month left Chase to take over as Baton Rouge market president for Whitney Bank.

“Janet’s local knowledge, can-do attitude and our team of 360 employees in Baton Rouge will ensure great success,” John Kallenborn, managing director for Chase’s Louisiana operations, said in a statement.

According to data from the FDIC, Chase is the largest bank in the Baton Rouge market, both in terms of the number of branches and deposits. The bank has 34 branches in the Capital Region and nearly $7.2 billion in deposits.

Olson will lead Chase’s commercial banking team, working with middle-market companies with $20 million to $500 million in revenue. She’ll also lead the bank’s outreach and charitable efforts.

“Chase is committed to serving Baton Rouge,” she said. “This role will allow me make a difference in the community I care so deeply about.”
