Downtown Baton Rouge parking lots sell for $3.2 million _lowres

Two parking lots in downtown Baton Rouge have been sold for $3.2 million to a group led by Gordon LeBlanc.

The lots — one of which is at the corner of Laurel and Lafayette streets, the other at the corner of Laurel and 4th streets — have a combined size of 0.94 acres. A 4,000-square-foot building on the Laurel and 4th street property, which had been home for an E.F. Hutton office, was also included.

Jim Allen of Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate represented the seller, Dean Offices LLC. Edward Rotenberg, also of Saurage Rotenberg, represented the buyers.

The buyers have no definite plans for the land. The plan is to keep the parking lots operating for the time being, Allen said.

“The value of the land is in the real estate,” Allen said.
