LAFAYETTE — AMG Integrated Healthcare Management of Lafayette has expanded into Tulsa, Okla., with the acquisition of Continuous Care Centers.
The newly acquired AMG Specialty Hospital-Tulsa is a 28-bed long-term acute-care hospital located on the fourth floor of St. John Medical Center. The hospital provides treatment for patients with complex medical needs, who require hospitalization for an extended period.
“Our goal is to build upon the work being done and to make it better,” said Gus Rantz IV, president of AMG. “Typically, this takes time, effort and capital investment, and you can’t shortcut any of those three.”
AMG now has 15 post-acute-care hospitals in six states.
The Continuous Care Centers hospital purchase is its second Oklahoma location, the other in Edmond.
Operating AMG Specialty Hospital-Denham Springs and AMG Specialty Hospital-Feliciana locally, the company said it has an eye on further expansion into the Baton Rouge market.
