Only Georgia was ahead of Louisiana, which moved up from sixth place in the 2013 survey. The report looks at a number of factors, including a survey of executives and announced economic development projects.
This is the fifth year in a row Louisiana has ranked in the Site Selection top 10.
Gov. Bobby Jindal said he was encouraged by the state’s high ranking.
“Today, Louisiana stands at the forefront of states that are the best prepared to help businesses expand, relocate, invest and create jobs,” Jindal said.
