An entrepreneurship workshop for military veterans, active duty service members, guard and reserve, and families will be held in Hammond on July 17 and in New Orleans on July 18.

Topics include the basics of entrepreneurship, market research, legal structures of businesses, a veteran-owned small business roundtable discussion, financing a venture and creating a business plan. Information on small business loans, business counseling resources and state veteran assistance programs also will be presented.

The workshop is free, but advance registration is required.
