The owners of Delmar Systems Inc., a global supplier of offshore mooring and subsea services based in Broussard, have acquired privately owned InterOcean Systems Inc. in California.
InterOcean will continue to operate with its existing management from its San Diego headquarters as an affiliate of Delmar.
Founded in 1946, InterOcean designs and manufactures oceanographic and environmental equipment and systems. Those include acoustic technology and releases, buoys, current meters, transponders, transducers, hydrophones, subsea winches and other specialized equipment, including a proprietary remote oil spill detection system.
“InterOcean’s products, services, and longstanding customer service will enhance Delmar’s product offering beyond the traditional oil and gas industry customer base,” said Brady Como, Delmar’s executive vice president.
Delmar has provided mooring and subsea installation services for over 48 years to oil and gas regions around the world.
