A hotel near the intersection of Interstate 12 and Airline Highway has been sold to a group of investors for $2.47 million.
Latola Lodging LLC purchased the Microtel Inn & Suites at 10311 Plaza Americana Drive in a deal that was filed Friday with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office. The seller was Cajun Lodging Partners LLC, a group based out of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Latola Lodging is made up of Amit Bhakta, Satish Patel, Prashant Patel, Prakash Patel and Hitesh Patel.
The Microtel Inn & Suites is an 82-room property that opened in 2000.
Microtel, part of the Wyndham Hotel Group, has three locations in Baton Rouge. In May 2014, the Microtel near Interstate 10 and Siegen Lane sold for $5 million to LIG Assets, a Dallas commercial real estate company. That 81-room hotel opened in 1998.
