Baton Rouge-based EPIC Piping is beginning operations at a 400,000-square-foot facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

EPIC has four facilities in North America. It is owned by a group of investors led by Bernhard Capital Partners, an investment fund headed by J.M. “Jim” Bernhard, former chairman of The Shaw Group in Baton Rouge.

“This expansion allows us to better meet our clients’ growing global needs by increasing our production capabilities and enabling us to take on larger projects.” said Chief Operating Officer Remi Bonnecaze.

The facility will be managed by Mazen Azizieh, president of International Fabrication at EPIC.
