Movie Tavern is set to re-open its Juban Crossing location on April 13, almost eight months after a devastating flood forced the theater to close.

Officials with Dallas-based Movie Tavern announced the re-opening date on Monday. The 11-screen theater, which allows customers to order food and alcoholic beverages from reclining seats, had only been open for a few months before the flood.

The flood drenched every Juban Crossing business with at least four feet of water, forcing some of the stores and restaurants to close for months while extensive repairs took place. Most of the 33 tenants in the shopping center at the intersection of Interstate 12 and Juban Road re-opened in time for the holiday shopping season. Kohl’s was the only business to decide not to re-open a store in the shopping center.

After Movie Tavern re-opens, Bath & Body Works will be the only Juban Crossing business that still hasn’t re-opened. According to the Juban Crossing Facebook page, the fragrance and beauty retailer is set to re-open its Denham Springs store in June.
