Cypress Title has purchased a building in the City Farm office park with plans to move its business to the Jefferson Highway development no later than Jan. 1.

Forty-Four Holdings Louisiana LLC bought the 5,675-square-foot building for just over $1 million. The seller was Offices at City Farm LLC, made up of developers Brian Dantin and Ross Bruce.

Tigue Bonneval, a broker with Audubon Real Estate, who represented Cypress Title, said the new building is larger than the company’s current office at 17170 Perkins Road, just off Highland Road. Cypress Title, founded by attorneys Jason Dupree, Johnny McKay and Bryan Denison, specializes in real estate closing services.

“This gives them more space and a place to grow and expand,” said Bonneval. “They’re excited to be getting back into the Towne Center area.”

City Farm is located next to Towne Center. NAI/Latter & Blum, a commercial real estate company, announced in September it would move its offices from Jefferson near Airline into a 17,500-square-foot building in City Farm by mid-2016. That building will be in front of the development, facing Jefferson, while six smaller office buildings, including the Cypress Title spot, will be located behind it.
