Online auto parts supplier Performance Mods won the sixth annual LSU Student Venture Challenge and its $10,000 first prize.

Students had to write business plans for the first round, which were scored by LSU and business community judges. The four finalists pitched their ideas Thursday before judges at Tin Roof Brewery.

The Crawfish App, which helps consumers shop for live and boiled crawfish, took the $7,000 second prize. Doux Natural Bakery, which makes all-natural, vegan and organic baked goods, received $6,000. Buzstat, an app that helps consumers find bars and alerts them if their friends are there, received $2,000.
