Baton Rouge’s second Another Broken Egg Cafe at 9655 Perkins Road will hold its grand opening April 21.
Stuart Ottinger, chief operating officer of Double R Restaurant Group, the Baton Rouge franchisee for Another Broken Egg, said he decided to open the second restaurant because of the success of the Citiplace location. The new restaurant will offer the same dishes as the Citiplace store, including six different types of eggs benedict, 11 different omelettes, French toast, along with hamburgers and fresh salads. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch.
Double R, which is based in Lafayette, has 15 Another Broken Eggs, including locations in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The restaurant operator, which was founded three years ago, owns the Romacelli restaurants in Lafayette and Youngsville.
There are seven Another Broken Egg restaurants in Louisiana, including two in New Orleans and one in Lafayette.
The chain was founded in Mandeville in 1994, but its corporate offices are now in Florida.
