HAMMOND — An “unresolved dice game” led to the shooting injuries of two people Monday afternoon on Quick Boulevard, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Multiple shots were fired into a crowd gathered at a home at 13016 Quick Blvd., where deputies found gun shell casings near the front door of the residence, sheriff’s spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said in a news release.
One occupant of the home was wounded and a bystander was shot in the stomach, Panepinto said. Both were taken to North Oaks Medical Center with injuries believed to be nonlife-threatening.
Investigators have identified two people of interest in the case and are continuing to interview witnesses, Panepinto said.
